I’ve been working with databases since dbaseIII, that is a long time ago, and for the last 8 years with Oracle Server and related products like Discoverer and Portal. I’m passionate about performance and tuning, however my current assignments have been more focused on backup and recovery and high availability.

I’m editor for Databases Hispamerica, which is a content portal aimed to latinamerican IT pros related with Relational Databases. Anybody is welcomed to participate as a contributor, authoring post about your valuable experiences. Translation is carried by a community effort to any of the oriented languages (English, Spanish, French, Portuguese and German).
